Students overconfident with financial habits
Jan 21, 2015
Many young people today feel confident with their spending habits and consider that they know everything they need to know about managing their money. Surveys show that kids usually receive advice from their parents, talked to friends or simply did their own research. However, professionals express concern that when kids don’t receive the right advice it may set them up for debts that they will struggle to repay. Parents have also voiced that by the time these younger kids are ready to move into the workforce, they may struggle financially and improve their situation by moving overseas.
At SavY, we target younger students where we educate kids and hope we can help them make more informed decisions.
